Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Nagoya: Toyota A. (#3) and Mitsubishi K. (#7). Mitsubishi K. was crushed at home by 21 points 56-77 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game was mostly controlled by Toyota A.. Mitsubishi K. managed to win second period 15-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Mitsubishi K. to just 6 points in first quarter. Toyota A. dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Mitsubishi K.'s 24. International guard Emi Kudeken (165-84) fired 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Power forward Mami Ikeda (178-81) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four Toyota A. players scored in double figures. Toyota A.'s coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Enjin Wantsu (189-87) produced 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and international forward Chika Sakuragi (179-91) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Toyota A. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Mitsubishi K. lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
