Rather predictable result when third ranked Shiga L-Stars (3-1) beat at home 7th ranked Oita Heat Devils (1-3) 96-92 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Oita Heat Devils were trailing by 11 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 25-19 charge of Shiga L-Stars, which allowed them to win the game. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Shinya Ogawa (183-83) who scored 20 points and 6 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. American guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward T.J. Cummings (205-81, college: UCLA) added 19 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Shiga L-Stars have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Oita Heat Devils keep the seventh place with three games lost.
