Regular Season Round 5: LF Future - Taby 88-81

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked LF Future as it allowed them to take a leadership position in North. LF Future defeated 3rd placed Taby Basket in Lulea 88-81. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Taby Basket. It was a key game for the top position in North. It looked good early as Taby Basket took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then LF Future had a 23-15 second period charge getting the lead and Taby Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 81-88. Naturalized Iraqi forward Samir Ali Hussein (198-92) stepped up and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and guard Robin Ryan (193-87) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. LF Future's coach Jim Enbom used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Mikael Banks (191-81) responded with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and guard Samuel Desport (183-83) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Taby Basket players scored in double figures. LF Future (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Taby Basket at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. Taby Basket will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. LF Future will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked White Eagles at Stockholm.
