Regular Season Round 5: MKS Limbach - Novum Lublin 70-65

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked MKS Limbach (2-2) beat 9th ranked Novum Lublin (2-3) in Limanowa 70-65 on Sunday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when MKS Limbach made 11 blocks. Guard Jakub Dudek (190-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. point guard Wojciech Rykala (180-76) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Five MKS Limbach players scored in double figures. Swingman Jakub Karolak (192-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Michael Gospodarek (186-91) added 11 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals in the effort for Novum Lublin. MKS Limbach moved-up to eighth place in Group C, which they share with Tur Bielsk Pdl. Novum Lublin lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. MKS Limbach will face higher ranked Staco MNLK (#7) in Niepolomice in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Novum Lublin will play at home against Rosa II Radom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
