No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Forssan Koripojat (4-0) defeated at home 5th ranked Lapuan Korikobrat (2-2) 99-85. The game without a history. Forssan Koripojat led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Forssan Koripojat outrebounded Lapuan Korikobrat 48-26 including a 23-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by guard Sami Ikavalko (188-89) who scored that evening 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Gambian forward Baboucarr Bojang (204-80, college: Illinois St.) supported him with 20 points and 15 rebounds. Five Forssan Koripojat players scored in double figures. Even 24 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Eric Williams (198-85, college: Tarleton St.) did not help to save the game for Lapuan Korikobrat. His fellow American import forward Casey Reed (197-86, college: Seattle Pacific) added 19 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Lapuan Korikobrat's coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forssan Koripojat have a solid four-game winning streak. Forssan Koripojat keeps a position of league leader, which they share with BC Nokia. Lapuan Korikobrat at the other side dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. Forssan Koripojat's next round opponent will be league's leader BC Nokia on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lapuan Korikobrat will play against Saynatsalon Riento (#8) in Jyvaskyla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
