The game in Shizuoka supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Airlines R. (3-5) played at the court of sixth ranked Chanson V-M (3-5). Chanson V-M smashed Airlines R. 69-45 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Chanson V-M. Airlines R. managed to win third quarter 17-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Airlines R. to just 4 points in second quarter and to 10 points in first half. Chanson V-M had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international swingman Saori Fujiyoshi (178-87) who had a triple-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Guard Makoto Rin (168-88) chipped in 20 points. Four Chanson V-M players scored in double figures. Chanson V-M's coach felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Seiko Kawakami (165-88) produced 9 points, 7 assists and 5 steals and international forward Reika Takahashi (177-88) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Chanson V-M moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Airlines R. Chanson V-M will meet league's second-placed Fujitsu RW in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Airlines R. will play against Denso Iris in Kariya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
