Regular Season Round 2: Galil Gilboa - Hapoel J-M 89-68
Date: October 23, 2011
Undefeated Hapoel J-M (1-1) recorded its first loss on the court of eighth ranked Galil Gilboa on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Galil Gilboa 89-68. The game was mostly controlled by Galil Gilboa. Hapoel J-M managed to win third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was international guard Dagan Yavzuri (193-85) who scored 17 points. American Courtney Fells (198-86, college: N.Carolina St., agency: Strategic Sports) chipped in 13 points. American guard D.J. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Galil Gilboa left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Hapoel J-M. Galil Gilboa is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Maccabi Haifa (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel J-M will play against Ironi Ashkelon (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
