Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Real Madrid and one of their biggest challengers Blusens Monbus had identical 2-1 record. This time Real Madrid used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Santoago de Comp 81-67 on Sunday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game without a history. Real Madrid led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Real Madrid outrebounded Blusens Monbus 39-22 including 24 on the defensive glass. Blusens Monbus was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Montenegrin power forward Nikola Mirotic (209-91) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds and international power forward Felipe Reyes (203-80) who added 12 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Real Madrid (3-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Blusens Monbus dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Real Madrid will face Gran Canaria 2014 (#15) in Las Palmas in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Blusens Monbus will play at home against Meridiano Alicante (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
