Important game to mention about took place in Uusikaupunki. Eighth ranked UU-Korihait (4-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 6th ranked KTP-Basket (4-4) 99-97 in the game for the sixth place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of KTP-Basket. It looked good early as KTP-Basket took an 14-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then UU-Korihait took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 2 points. UU-Korihait shot 29 for 43 from the free-throw line, while KTP-Basket only scored eight points from the stripe. KTP-Basket was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Jarice Crouch (182-84, college: Chattanooga) nailed 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import swingman Nigel Moore (195-81, college: Alabama A&M) accounted for 15 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. American forward Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and Bosnian guard Bojan Sarcevic (190-88) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively for KTP-Basket in the defeat. Five UU-Korihait and four KTP-Basket players scored in double figures. UU-Korihait moved-up to sixth place, which they share with KTP and Kouvot. UU-Korihait will play against league's second-placed Loimaan Korikonkarit on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KTP-Basket will have a break next round.
