Regular Season Round 4: Andorra - Oviedo CB 81-51
Date: October 28, 2011
Bottom-ranked Feve Oviedo (0-3) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 81-51 loss to seventh ranked River Andorra (2-1) in Andorra. The game was mostly controlled by River Andorra. Feve Oviedo was better in second period 17-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. River Andorra shot 21 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Feve Oviedo only scored four points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Russian center Dmitry Flis (203-84) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds. Uruguayan-Italian point guard Federico Bavosi (184-81) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four River Andorra players scored in double figures. Power forward David Ortega (199-84) replied with 6 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Shawn Lewis (193-89, college: Cal Poly - SLO) added 8 points in the effort for Feve Oviedo. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. River Andorra moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Coruna. Feve Oviedo at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Plasencia. River Andorra will play against bottom-ranked Plasencia Extremadura (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Feve Oviedo will play against the league's leader Aurteneche M. in Vitoria-Gasteiz and hopes to get finally their first victory.
