Regular Season Round 6: Staco MNLK - MKS Limbach 79-80

A very close game took place in Niepolomice between MKS Limbach and Staco MNLK. Eighth ranked MKS Limbach (3-2) got a very close victory on the road over 7th ranked Staco MNLK (3-3). MKS Limbach managed to escape with a 1-point win 80-79 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Staco MNLK. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-15. But Staco MNLK won second period 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MKS Limbach forced 25 Staco MNLK turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when MKS Limbach made 9 blocks. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Wojciech Majchrzak (194-74) who recorded 23 points and center Fabian Mroz (198-88) added 23 points respectively. Four Staco MNLK players scored in double figures. Staco MNLK's coach Jaroslaw Mosio let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. MKS Limbach moved-up to fifth place in Group C, which they share with Tur Bielsk Pdl. and Unia Tarnow. Loser Staco MNLK dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with UKS Siemaszka and Novum Lublin. MKS Limbach will meet at home Pulaski Warka (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Staco MNLK will play against Rosa II Radom (#12) and hope to secure a win.
