Regular Season Round 6: Eskilstuna - Jarva Devils 77-93

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Jarva Devils' (2-3) road victory over 9th ranked Eskilstuna (1-5) 93-77 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Jarva Devils. Eskilstuna managed to win third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jarva Devils forced 35 Eskilstuna turnovers. Strangely Eskilstuna outrebounded Jarva Devils 48-33 including 19 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Binyam Feghadu (195-89) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. R Carbone chipped in 18 points and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Robert Norstrom (191-83) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and forward Daniel Urban (198-88) added 14 points and 15 rebounds respectively. Four Eskilstuna players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jarva Devils moved-up to seventh place in North. Eskilstuna lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with Orongo. Jarva Devils will meet at home BG Lulea (#11) in the next round. Eskilstuna will play against Orongo Dragons in Sundsvall and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
