There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Muggia (2-3) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Bolzano (2-3) 74-66 on Saturday. The game without a history. Bolzano led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Bolzano especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. The best player for the winners was guard Elena Zambarda (180-87) who scored 19 points. Power forward Elizabeth Ribeiro Da Silva (185-85) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Bolzano players scored in double figures. Guard Annalisa Borroni (183-83) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and guard Jessica Cergol (180-85) added 21 points respectively for the guests. Bolzano moved-up to eighth place in North, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Muggia. Bolzano will face higher ranked Alghero (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
