PLK top team - PGE Turow (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat ninth ranked Siarka Jezioro (2-4) in Tarnobrzeg 77-59. The game was mostly controlled by PGE Turow. Siarka Jezioro managed to win third quarter 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when PGE Turow won last quarter 24-8. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Siarka Jezioro to just 7 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Siarka Jezioro 47-34 including 36 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Lithuanian guard Giedrius Gustas (190-80, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized German forward Konrad Wysocki (201-82, college: Princeton, agency: Pro One Sports) helped adding 20 points and 6 rebounds. PGE Turow's coach Jacek Winnicki used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard J.T. Tiller (191-88, college: Missouri) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import point guard Josh Miller (169, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Hart Sports Mngm) scored 15 points and 5 assists. PGE Turow have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Siarka Jezioro at the other side keeps the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Slask Wroclaw. PGE Turow are looking forward to face AZS Politechnika Warszawska (#11) in Warszawa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Siarka Jezioro will play on the road against AZS Koszalin and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
