There was no surprise in Nagoya where 8th ranked Aishin Wings (1-8) were defeated by third ranked Toyota A. (7-2) 71-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Toyota A. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Power forward Mami Ikeda (178-81) stepped up and scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international forward Ryoko Yano (178-78) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was power forward Kiyoko Hamaguti (181-90) with 11 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Shiyu Sato (178-87) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Aishin Wings players scored in double figures. Toyota A. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fujitsu RW and JX Sunflowers. Aishin Wings lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with eight games lost.
