There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked Sudety (2-4) crushed on the road 11th ranked Olimp MKS Start Lublin (2-4) 62-43 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 19 points. Sudety forced 19 Olimp MKS Start Lublin turnovers and outrebounded them 44-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sudety made 8 blocks. Guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) notched 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and forward Jaroslaw Wilusz (200-85) supported him with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Even 10 points, 6 assists and 6 steals by guard Kamil Michalski (183-87) did not help to save the game for Olimp MKS Start Lublin. Forward Przemyslaw Luszczewski (195-80, agency: Promotex) added 6 points and 7 rebounds. Olimp MKS Start Lublin's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sudety moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Polonia and Start Lublin. Sudety will meet at home higher ranked MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Olimp MKS Start Lublin will play against SKK Siedlce and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
