Regular Season Round 5: Ura Basket - Huima 74-68 OT

Ura Basket's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Aanekosken Huima (2-2) 74-68. Aanekosken Huima was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 16-13 charge of Ura Basket, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 12-6. Ura Basket forced 26 Aanekosken Huima turnovers and had a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. American swingman Lionel Green (196-84, college: SUNO) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and Trinidad and Tobago power forward Eze Andrews (201-83, college: Savannah St., agency: Court Side) chipped in 8 points and 15 rebounds. Ura Basket's coach Antti Saarinen allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American power forward Trey Britton (203-89, college: Anderson) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import swingman Justice Graham (198-79, college: Glenville St.) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Aanekosken Huima players scored in double figures. Ura Basket (1-4) left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with Jyvaskyla and Porvoon Tarmo. Aanekosken Huima at the other side keeps the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with Pyrinto II. Ura Basket will play against higher ranked Pyrinto II (#6) in Tampere in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aanekosken Huima will play at home against BC Jyvaskyla and hopes to get back on the winning track.
