No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Alghero (3-2) edged on the road bottom-ranked Biassono (0-5) 55-54 on Sunday. Biassono was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Alghero dominated on the defensive end, holding Biassono to just 7 points in second quarter. The best player for the winners was guard Elisa Donati (170-80) who scored 10 points. Bulgarian power forward Radostina Slavova-Naneva (188-86) chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Marina Fumagalli (175-93) produced 9 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Antonella Contestabile (187-87, agency: Players Group) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Biassono's coach Valerio Signorini rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alghero moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Udine. Biassono lost their fifth game in a row. They still closes the standings with five games lost. Alghero will face Bolzano (#8) at home in the next round.
