The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Pepsi Caserta as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Pepsi Caserta defeated bottom-ranked Novipiu CM at home 67-52. The game was mostly controlled by Pepsi Caserta. Novipiu CM managed to win third quarter 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Andre Collins (183-82, college: Loyola, MD) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and American-FYR Macedonian center Kevin Fletcher (207-80, college: Colorado Springs, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who added 19 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Matt Janning (193-88, college: Northeastern, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) responded with 13 points and his fellow American import guard Garrett Temple (197-86, college: LSU) scored 12 points. Pepsi Caserta have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Novipiu CM still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Banca Tercas. Novipiu CM will play next round against strong Armani Milano trying to get back on the winning streak. Pepsi Caserta will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Cimberio Varese on the road.
