Regular Season Round 3: Maccabi Rishon - B.C. Habikaa 78-66

Premier League round 3 caused change at the leadership position. First defeat of league's leader B.C. Habikaa (2-1) against tenth ranked Maccabi Rishon (1-1) 78-66 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of B.C. Habikaa. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Rishon. B.C. Habikaa managed to win third quarter 26-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Maccabi Rishon won last quarter 19-8. Maccabi Rishon outrebounded B.C. Habikaa 43-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Jamaican-American power forward Adrian Uter (201-84, college: Hofstra, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. American swingman Joe Crawford (196-86, college: Kentucky, agency: Priority Sports) contributed with 19 points for the winners. American-Panamanian guard Danilo Pinnock (196-83, college: George Washington, agency: SportsTalent) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for B.C. Habikaa. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Maccabi Rishon left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with Maccabi Ashdod. B.C. Habikaa at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with Hapoel Holon and Ironi Ashkelon. They were replaced at the leadership position by Maccabi T-A. B.C. Habikaa will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Maccabi Rishon will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Bnei Hasharon in Hod Hasharon.
