Regular Season Round 3: Familia Schio - Faenza 74-35

Undefeated CA Faenza (2-1) recorded its first loss on the court of sixth ranked Familia Schio. Visitors were rolled over by Familia Schio 74-35. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of CA Faenza. The game without a history. Familia Schio led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding CA Faenza to just 6 points in third quarter. Familia Schio dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to CA Faenza's 24. Familia Schio forced 25 CA Faenza turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for international power forward Jenifer Nadalin (187-83, college: Furman) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Slovenian swingman Maja Erkic (183-85) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Familia Schio's coach Maurizio Lasi felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dutch power forward Naomi Halman (191-86, college: Cal-Irvine) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Demauria Liles (185-88, college: Maryland) added 4 points and 7 rebounds respectively for CA Faenza in the defeat. Familia Schio moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated CA Faenza. Familia Schio will play against Alcamo (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CA Faenza will play against Comense (#5) in Como and hopes to get back on the winning track.
