Regular Season Round 7: Fabriano - Treviglio 71-72

A very close game took place in between Treviglio and Fabriano. Fifth ranked Treviglio (4-3) got a very close victory on the road over bottom-ranked Fabriano (0-7). Treviglio managed to escape with a 1-point win 72-71 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-71. Treviglio made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for center Jacopo Borra (212-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Gabriele Zanella (204-81) helped adding 14 points and 8 rebounds. Treviglio's coach Adriano Vertemati used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side naturalized Argentinian point guard Nicolas Manuel Stanic (177-84, agency: Players Group) responded with 18 points and forward Mirko Trapella (206-88) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Treviglio keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Fabriano still closes the standings with seven games lost. Treviglio will meet at home Matera (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Fabriano will play against Casalpusterlengo and hopes to get finally their first victory.
