No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Denso Iris (7-3) beat 6th ranked Airlines R. (3-7) in Kariya 70-53 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Denso Iris. Airlines R. managed to win second period 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Denso Iris looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Airlines R.'s players. International center Maki Takada (183-89) notched 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Akiko Obata (165-81) supported her with 4 points, 17 assists and 4 steals. Four Denso Iris players scored in double figures. Denso Iris' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds by international forward Reika Takahashi (177-88) did not help to save the game for Airlines R.. Guard Nozomi Hoshino (164-87) added 5 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for lost side. Denso Iris have an impressive five-game winning streak.
