Important game to mention about took place in Aguascalientes. Twelfth ranked Lechugueros (7-13) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 11th ranked Panteras (7-12) 104-101 on Tuesday evening. The game without a history. Lechugueros led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for American guard William Funn (188-82, college: Portland St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. His fellow American import forward Deilvez Yearby (198-87, college: IPFW, agency: Pro One Sports) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Funn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Puerto Rican point guard Ricardo Melendez (180-83, agency: TSS Management) answered with 28 points and Dominican-Puerto Rican power forward Ivan Lopez (208-85, college: Memphis) added 21 points and 4 assists in the effort for Panteras. Five Lechugueros and four Panteras players scored in double figures. Panteras' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Lechugueros maintains twelfth place with 7-13 record. Loser Panteras keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Lechugueros will face higher ranked Barreteros (#4) in Zacatecas in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
