No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Barreteros (13-7) beat 8th ranked Abejas (9-11) in Zacatecas 90-78 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 10 points at the halftime before their 47-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Barreteros looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Abejas' players. It was a good game for naturalized American guard Forrest Fisher (193-84) who led his team to a victory with 28 points and 6 rebounds. Savador Cuevas contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Five Barreteros players scored in double figures. Barreteros moved-up to fourth place. Loser Abejas dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. Barreteros will face Lechugueros (#12) in Leon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Abejas will play on the road against Panteras in Aguascalientes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
