The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Loimaan Korikonkarit as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Loimaan Korikonkarit smashed 8th ranked UU-Korihait at home 86-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of UU-Korihait. The game without a history. Loimaan Korikonkarit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Jeb Ivey (190-80, college: Portland St.) fired 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Martin Zeno (196-85, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 22 points. Four Loimaan Korikonkarit players scored in double figures. Loimaan Korikonkarit's coach Greg Gibson felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Nigel Moore (195-81, college: Alabama A&M) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds and forward Cory Johnson (200-88, college: Valparaiso, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Loimaan Korikonkarit have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. UU-Korihait at the other side dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Kouvot. UU-Korihait will play next round against Torpan Pojat trying to get back on the winning streak.
