Regular Season Round 8: PGE Turow - AZS PW 89-63

Undefeated leader PGE Turow delivered the seventh consecutive win on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 10th ranked AZS Politechnika Warszawska (2-6) 89-63 in Zgorzelec. The hosts trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 26 points. PGE Turow shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) who scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import guard David Jackson (193-86, college: W.Illinois) chipped in 9 points and 5 rebounds. Four PGE Turow players scored in double figures. Forward Patryk Pelka (202-89) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Lukasz Wilczek (189-86) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. PGE Turow (7-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. AZS Politechnika Warszawska lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth place with six games lost. PGE Turow are looking forward to face LKS Sphinx (#11) in Lodz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS Politechnika Warszawska will play at home against AZS Koszalin and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
