The game in Comodoro R. was also quite interesting. Second ranked Obras (7-3) played at the court of 5th ranked GECR Indalo (6-6). Obras managed to secure a 6-point victory 85-79 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But GECR Indalo won fourth quarter 25-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Obras made 19-of-19 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Obras made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for American forward Tony Washam (200-82, college: St.Vincent) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. International power forward Juan Gutierrez (205-83) helped adding 18 points. Four Obras players scored in double figures. American forward Terrence Shannon (203-79, college: Elgin CC, agency: Paris Global Sports) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Cedric McGowan (198-85, college: Cincinnati, agency: Court Side) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Obras have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 7-3 record behind leader Regatas C. Loser GECR Indalo keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Obras' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Buenos Aires to the arena Boca Juniors.
