Rather predictable result in Buenos Aires where fourth ranked Penarol (7-5) defeated 6th ranked Lanus (5-6) 86-72 on Friday. Penarol had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Martin Leiva (208-80) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. American guard Kyle Lamonte (191-84, college: William Carey) helped adding 20 points. Lamonte is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Lanus players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 7-5 record. Loser Lanus keeps the sixth position with six games lost.
