Very expected game when 10th ranked Girona FC (3-5) was rolled over on the road by fourth ranked Lleida Basquet (7-1) 89-70 on Friday. The game without a history. Lleida Basquet led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Lleida Basquet especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was American-Austrian guard Jason Detrick (198-80, college: Oklahoma) who scored 31 points. American-Madagascar power forward Charles Ramsdell (208-85, college: Tulsa, agency: Court Side) chipped in 16 points. Forward Sergi Pino (196-87) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized American power forward Darryl Middleton (203-66, college: Baylor) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Four Girona FC players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lleida Basquet keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Canarias and Burgos. Girona FC lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with five games lost. Lleida Basquet will face Caceres 2016 (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Girona FC will play against Palencia Baloncesto (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
