Leader Townsville Fire blasted bottom-ranked West Coast Waves (0-6) in Perth 98-74 keeping the perfect record after 5 rounds. West Coast Waves is still unable to win any game. The game was mostly controlled by Townsville Fire. West Coast Waves was better in second period 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Townsville Fire made 21-of-21 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Townsville Fire outrebounded West Coast Waves 45-29 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds.
