Regular Season Round 7: Polonia - AZS Radex 76-67

There was a surprise result in Przemysl where eleventh ranked Polonia (3-4) beat higher ranked AZS Szczecin (3-3) 76-67 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-15. But AZS Szczecin won third quarter 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Polonia made 9 blocks. It was a great evening for guard Michal Musijowski (180-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals. Forward Artur Mikolajko (197-79) helped adding 19 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the losing side center Karol Pytys (202-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds and guard Michal Dudek (182-88) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Polonia moved-up to tenth place. Loser AZS Szczecin dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Polonia will face AZS Kutno (#13) on the road in the next round.
