The most exciting game of round 7 in the SuperLeague took place in Moycullen. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked B.Gais Neptune (4-3) to fourth ranked Moycullen (2-6) 74-71 on Saturday evening. Moycullen outrebounded B.Gais Neptune 51-38 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Luke Enos (201, college: Black Hills St.) fired a double-double by scoring 30 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Guard Cian Nihill (193-88) chipped in 22 points. American power forward Ronald Thompson (208-81, college: Morehouse) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and guard Gerard Noonan (180-82) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four B.Gais Neptune players scored in double figures. B.Gais Neptune's coach Mark Scannell rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Moycullen maintains fourth place with 2-6 record. B.Gais Neptune lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with three games lost. They share it with UCD Marian. Moycullen are looking forward to face higher ranked UCD Marian (#3) in Dublin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. B.Gais Neptune will play at home against Belfast Star and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
