Regular Season Round 7: CFBB - Blois 38-80

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-7) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to seventh ranked Blois (5-2) 80-38. The game without a history. Blois led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding CFBB to just 6 points in fourth quarter and to 13 points in second half. Blois made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 CFBB turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Finnish forward Ville Kaunisto (204-82) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Gary Staelens (189-84) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Power forward Mouhammadou Jaiteh (201-94) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds and power forward Yannis Morin (206-93) added 4 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for CFBB. CFBB's coach Jacques Commeres gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Blois moved-up to second place, which they share with 6 other teams. CFBB lost their seventh game in a row. They still closes the standings with seven games lost. Blois' next round opponent will be Stade Clermont (#15) at home which should be another easy win for them. CFBB will play against Orchesien BC in Orchies and hopes to get finally their first victory.
