There was a minor upset when higher ranked Scavolini Pesaro (2-2) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Umana Venezia (2-2) 71-58 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-58. Umana Venezia made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Timothy Bowers (188-82, college: Mississippi St.) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds.
