The game had a very big importance for second-ranked PWiK Piaseczno as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group C. PWiK Piaseczno smashed 8th ranked Novum Lublin at home 106-59. The game was mostly controlled by PWiK Piaseczno. Novum Lublin managed to win fourth quarter 21-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. PWiK Piaseczno dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Novum Lublin's 42. They outrebounded Novum Lublin 43-25 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. PWiK Piaseczno looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when PWiK Piaseczno made 10 blocks. It was a great evening for guard Michal Wojtynski (192-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Patryk Andres (191-80) helped adding 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four PWiK Piaseczno players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Jakub Karolak (192-93) responded with 26 points and center Mateusz Wisniewski (204-91) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Novum Lublin at the other side dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with Staco MNLK. Novum Lublin will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. PWiK Piaseczno will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Staco MNLK in Niepolomice.
