1st Division top team - Forssan Koripojat (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Torpan Pojat (0-6) 97-58. The game without a history. Forssan Koripojat led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Forssan Koripojat made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game, while Torpan Pojat only scored two points from the stripe. They outrebounded Torpan Pojat 48-27 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gambian forward Baboucarr Bojang (204-80, college: Illinois St.) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 24 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward HL Coleman (202-74, college: Wyoming) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Five Forssan Koripojat players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Joel Heinikoski (185-92) with 9 points and 8 rebounds and forward Julius Rajala (200-94) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Forssan Koripojat have an impressive six-game winning streak. Forssan Koripojat maintains first position with 6-0 record. Torpan Pojat at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Forssan Koripojat is looking forward to face Saynatsalon Riento (#9) in Jyvaskyla in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Torpan Pojat will play at home against Ura Basket in Kaarina and hopes to get finally their first victory.
