Regular Season Round 8: Torino - Anagni 84-66

Date: November 6, 2011
Rather predictable result when second ranked Torino (7-1) won against at home 4th ranked Anagni (3-5) 84-66 on Sunday. Naturalized San Marino Federico Tassinari (195-77, agency: Players Group) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds. Luca Fontecchio (202-91, agency: Players Group) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Torino players scored in double figures. The former international guard Andrea Malamov (196-83) replied with 22 points and forward Jacopo Pozzi (200-87) added 11 points in the effort for Anagni. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Torino have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Omegna. Loser Anagni dropped to the third place with five games lost. Torino will face Treviglio (#4) on the road in the next round. Anagni will play against Latina Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
