The game in Nagoya was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Chanson V-M (4-8) played at the court of seventh ranked Mitsubishi K. (4-8). Mitsubishi K. did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 59-42. It looked good early as Chanson V-M took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Mitsubishi K. had a 10-5 second period charge getting the lead and Chanson V-M was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 42-59. Mitsubishi K. dominated on the defensive end, holding Chanson V-M to just 5 points in second quarter. The winners were led by guard Yasuko Hashimoto (163-82) who scored that evening 16 points and 8 rebounds and center Enjin Wantsu (189-87) supported her with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Mitsubishi K.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 17 points and 6 rebounds by swingman Key Miho (176-85) did not help to save the game for Chanson V-M. Power forward Marisa Tsukano (180-86) added 8 points and 11 rebounds. Mitsubishi K. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Chanson V-M. Mitsubishi K.'s next round opponent will be higher ranked Denso Iris (#3) in Kariya and it may be quite challenging game. Chanson V-M will play on the road against Aishin Wings in Anjo.
