The game between closely ranked teams ended with 4th ranked Atenas' (5-6) home loss to third ranked Quimsa (7-5) 71-89 on Monday. The game without a history. Quimsa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Quimsa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward James Williams (204-79, college: Brown Mackie, agency: Dream Team Management) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican guard Jesse Pellot-Rosa (193-84, college: VCU, agency: Paris Global Sports) who added 19 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Matias Lescano (196-79) with 14 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Christopher Hayes (206-87, college: Detroit Mercy) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Five Quimsa and four Atenas players scored in double figures. Quimsa moved-up to second place, which they share with Boca Jrs and Sionista. Loser Atenas dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Quimsa will face league's second-placed Sionista in Parana in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Atenas will play on the road against the league's leader Regatas Corrientes.
