Regular Season Round 10: Jamtland - Norrkoping 89-98

Basketligan top team - Norrkoping Dolphins (8-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked KFUM Jamtland (4-6) 98-89. It looked good early as KFUM Jamtland took an 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Norrkoping Dolphins had a 25-15 second period charge getting the lead and KFUM Jamtland was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 89-98. Norrkoping Dolphins made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while KFUM Jamtland only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded KFUM Jamtland 41-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. Norrkoping Dolphins players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. International guard Mikael Lindquist (193-83, agency: Court Side) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Martin Ringstrom (206-81) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Lithuanian point guard Evaldas Zabas (188-88) responded with 21 points and 6 assists and American-Liberian power forward Boakai Lalugba (200-81, college: Bucknell, agency: Court Side) scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Norrkoping Dolphins have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-2 record. KFUM Jamtland at the other side keeps the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with Solna. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against league's second-placed Boras Basket at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KFUM Jamtland will play against LF Basket (#3) in Lulea and hopes to get back on the winning track.
