Regular Season Round 3: Brock - Ottawa 63-58

An interesting game for Badgers (1-1) which hosted in St.Catharines, ON 4th placed Gee-Gees (0-2). First ranked Badgers managed to get a 5-point victory 63-58. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Badgers forced 23 Gee-Gees turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Mark Gibson (198) who scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Didi Mukendi (183) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Gabriel Gonthier-Dubue (196) who recorded 13 points and 6 rebounds and international guard Warren Ward (196-89) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Badgers went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with 6 other teams. Gee-Gees at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Badgers' next round opponent will be league's leader Ravens in Ottawa, ON and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gee-Gees will play on the road against Marauders (#6) in Hamilton, ON and hope to get finally their first victory.
