Very predictable result when leader Thunderbirds (2-0) rolled over 12th ranked Bobcats (1-3) in Vancouver, BC 91-55 on Friday. Thunderbirds dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Bobcats' 24 and made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while Bobcats only scored four points from the stripe. They outrebounded Bobcats 40-24 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for Malcolm Williams who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. International point guard Nathan Yu (189-89) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Thunderbirds players scored in double figures. Ali Mounir answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Emerick Ravier added 9 points in the effort for Bobcats. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Thunderbirds keep a position of league leader, which they share with 7 other teams. Bobcats lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. Thunderbirds will face Cougars (#14) in Regina, SK in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Bobcats will play on the road against the league's leader Vikies (#1) in Victoria, BC.
