Regular Season Round 3: Toronto Univ. - Waterloo 93-73

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Warriors (1-1) in Toronto, ON on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by second ranked Blues (1-1) 93-73. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-73. Blues looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for forward Alex Hill (196, college: Cornell) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Bosnian forward Drazen Glisic (198) contributed with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Blues players scored in double figures. Guard Cam McIntyre (191-87) answered with 25 points and guard Mike Wright (180-91) added 9 points and 4 assists in the effort for Warriors. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blues maintains second place with 1-1 record behind leader Guelph, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Warriors. Blues is looking forward to face league's second-placed Golden Hawks in Waterloo, ON in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Warriors will play on the road against Rams in Toronto, ON and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
