There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Palencia Baloncesto (5-4) lost on the road to tenth ranked Girona FC (4-5) 101-95 on Friday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Girona FC shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. It was a good game for point guard Ignacio Ordin (183-78) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 6 assists. Latvian power forward Rolands Freimanis (207-88, agency: Players Group) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American-Cape Verdean guard Jeffrey Xavier (185-85, college: Providence) answered with 23 points and American forward Ian O'Leary (201-86, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Palencia Baloncesto.
