No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Open Florentyna (8-0) defeated on the road 3rd ranked Ksiezak Lowicz (4-3) 85-76 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 33-25. But Ksiezak Lowicz won second period 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Open Florentyna looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Open Florentyna made 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was power forward Wojciech Zurawski (199-76) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Guard Marcin Stoklosa (188-77) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 assists. Forward Kacper Kromer (204-87) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds and guard Damian Janiak (191-89) added 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. Five Open Florentyna and four Ksiezak Lowicz players scored in double figures. Open Florentyna have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 8-0 record. Ksiezak Lowicz at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. Open Florentyna will face SMS PZKosz (#13) in Wladyslawowo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Ksiezak Lowicz will play on the road against GKK Gorzow (#11) in Gorzow Wklp.
