Regular Season Round 7: Kronos AD - Panionios 72-65

There was an upset when higher ranked Panionios (3-4) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Kronos AD (1-6) 72-65 on Saturday. The game without a history. Kronos AD led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Panionios was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Serbian power forward Milena Vukicevic (188-80) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points and 9 rebounds (made all of her eleven free throws !!!). Forward Maria Michou (182-83) helped adding 14 points and 8 rebounds. Kronos AD's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Brittany Johnson (180-89, college: Ohio St.) responded with 26 points and 5 rebounds and international power forward Peli Papamichail (189-86, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Kronos AD left bottom position moving up to eleventh place. Panionios at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Kronos AD will face higher ranked PAOK (#8) in Thessaloniki in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Panionios will play at home against FEA Neas in Halkidon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
