Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Lan Mobel ISB and 9th ranked Tenerife had identical 2-3 record. But Tenerife was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Azpeitia 78-73 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 23-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was guard Joseba Ibargutxi (190-82) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 assists. American-French guard Alfredo Ott (193-83, college: Dillard) chipped in 14 points. Lan Mobel ISB's coach Iurgi Caminos used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Cuban forward Georvys Elias (199-81) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Ignacio Guigou (186-91) added 11 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lan Mobel ISB (3-3) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Prat Juventud. Tenerife lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Gandia Basquet and Las Rozas. Lan Mobel ISB will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tenerife will play against Las Rozas (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
