Regular Season Round 4: Lethbridge - TRU 106-93

Everything could happen in Lethbridge, AB at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Pronghorn and one of their biggest challengers Wolfpack had identical 2-1 record. This time Pronghorn used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Kamloops, BC 106-93 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Pronghorn's pressure prevailed and they won that period 36-25 extending their advantage to 13 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Wolfpack's 30 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Pronghorn forced 19 Wolfpack turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a very good performance for Daryl Cooper who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Alex Fletcher contributed with 25 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Pronghorn players scored in double figures. Pronghorn's coach Dave Adams allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Chas Kok (196) replied with 45 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Justin King added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Wolfpack. Pronghorn have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Alberta and UFV. Loser Wolfpack dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Pronghorn will face Huskies (#9) in Saskatoon, SK in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wolfpack will play on the road against the league's leader Vikies in Victoria, BC.
