Regular Season Round 11: Shimane SM - Niigata Albirex 86-82
Date: November 12, 2011
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Shimane Magic (6-3) won against at home 8th ranked Niigata Albirex (3-4) 86-82 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-82. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Reggie Golson (201-81, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Court Side) helped adding 19 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Power forward Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds and forward Erron Maxey (198-78, college: Providence) scored 24 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Niigata Albirex's coach Matt Garrison rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shimane Magic moved-up to second place, which they share with Shiga L-Stars and Sendai 89ers. Loser Niigata Albirex keeps the eighth position with four games lost. Shimane Magic will face again Niigata Albirex (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
